Vahiguru ji ka Khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki Fatih!
In the realms of existence, where time and mortality intertwine, exists a concept that defies the natural order—immortality. It is a coveted enigma that bestows eternal life upon those seeking it. It is the liberation from the clutches of time, a state where the boundaries of life and death fade into obscurity. To be immortal is to transcend the temporary and dwell in the eternal, a fathomless gift that resonates through the ages.
How can we transcend the boundaries of mortal existence and dwell in the everlasting realm of Identification with IkOankar, the One, the Divine?
Guru Arjan Sahib in Rag Maru says, O my mind! Drink the amrit of Nam. Forget other worthless tastes; by becoming immortal, live for ages and ages.
This profound insight has the power to revolutionize our existence. The Guru invites us to embark on a transformative expedition that guides us toward eternal life.
What do we need to do?
Embrace the immortal nectar of Nam, Identification with IkOankar, and leave behind the fleeting and superficial pleasures of the world. Shed ego and self-centeredness make humility the compass to seek the mentorship of wise and virtuous beings immersed in Nam.
Through their guidance, we can experience a profound shift in our perception. Identification with IkOankar, becomes the essence of all tastes and colors, permeating us. As we immerse ourselves in this divine love, the One becomes our friend, companion, and relative. Every relationship becomes rooted in the One, transcending the spectacle and living in a culture of Identification with IkOankar, embracing a higher level of existence.
In the Sikh tradition, amrit, the immortal nectar, symbolizes Nam, which is received through the Wisdom. Through the initiation ceremony of Khande-ki-Pahul, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib institutionalized the process of receiving amrit. This initiation begins a transformative journey and a conscious lifestyle change. It is not merely a physical ceremony but a profound effort towards cultivating humility and seeking the guidance of the virtuous beings already walking the path.
As we embrace this transformative lifestyle, we prepare ourselves to receive the internal amrit, the non-physical Nam, which brings us closer to embodying the love and justice of IkOankar. It trains our bodies to confront death's inevitability and live fully even while alive. The initiation ceremony acts as a catalyst for the disciple to become sovereign and receive the grace of the Guru.
We pause.
Are we ready to be initiated? Will we make an effort to seek guidance from the Wisdom and virtuous beings? The path to immortality awaits those willing to embark on this transformative journey, relinquishing the world's temporary pleasures and embracing the eternal essence within.
May we yearn to transcend mortal boundaries.
May the Wisdom-Guru guide us!
