Vahiguru ji ka Khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki Fatih!
In the profound verses of Guru Ramdas Sahib, we have the privilege of contemplating the extraordinary nature of our human bodies through the Ghoria composition. This sacred exploration beckons us to delve deeper into the significance of our physical forms and their connection to the Divine.
Guru Ramdas Sahib presents a mesmerizing analogy in the opening stanza, poetically likening our bodies to majestic mares. The Guru reminds us that these bodies are not random gifts but the most exquisite vessels, crafted by the Beautiful One, IkOankar, and designed for Nam, Identification with IkOankar. Our human bodies are not only beautiful and rare but are also the result of virtuous deeds—a birth of great blessing.
The Guru introduces us to "tejan," a Persian word signifying Arabian horses, celebrated for their superior qualities. Our human bodies are not merely gifts; they are the finest creations given to us by the Beautiful One. They are vessels of unparalleled beauty, destined for the journey of Identifying with the One.
We pause.
We reflect.
Who among us genuinely comprehends the value and purpose of these remarkable bodies? It is those who tread the path of Wisdom-orientedness, individuals who embark on a profound inner journey. They embark on a quest to cultivate a deep, crimson love for the One, harbored within the precious confines of their physical forms.
Cultivating this profound love is not a mere exercise; it is an art, a sacred symphony played upon the instrument of the human body. Wisdom-oriented beings engage in the melodies of devotion, singing praises to the 1-Light, continuously remembering the 1-Light, and nurturing the innate beauty within. They immerse themselves in the ever-changing hues of love, a love that remains perpetually fresh and exhilarating. In this transformative journey, their bodies undergo a metamorphosis, evolving into vessels of beauty and fortune, where Nam becomes their unwavering companion.
Can we appreciate the invaluable gift that is our body?
Can we recognize the Divine Light within us?
May we cherish this human body.
May the Wisdom-Guru be with us!
“The question really is in the spirit form: why do we recite them? Because this is how we learn to relate with IkOankar, the one divine Force, the one All-Pervasive and Creative force..."
