In the joyous Rag Bilaval, Guru Arjan Sahib's Sabad resonates with themes of divine love, immortality, and spiritual fulfillment. Bilaval, a rag known for evoking feelings of happiness, accomplishment, and determination, is a fitting backdrop for this profound expression of devotion.

The Sabad opens with a declaration of the blessedness of those "dyed in Red-Love-Color." This metaphor signifies a deep, unwavering love for the One that remains pure and unstained by worldly influences.

In the reflective verse, Guru Arjan Sahib emphasizes the transformative power of the love for the One. Those who have embraced this love are liberated from old age and death, and the pain of rebirth no longer troubles them. This liberation is attributed to the "Immortal-Nectar" bestowed by the Guru, symbolizing the divine knowledge and grace that leads to spiritual immortality.

The Sabad continues by highlighting the indescribable value of the "All-Pervasive Nam." Those who have tasted this divine essence understand its priceless nature, and words fail to capture its true worth.

Guru Arjan Sahib concludes with an expression of reverence for the Transcendent. The vision of the One is described as fruitful, and the teachings are likened to a treasure of virtues. Guru Arjan humbly adores the votaries of the One, seeking the dust off their feet, symbolizing a deep respect and aspiration to follow in their footsteps.

Fortunate are dyed in Red-Love-Color,
Never gets dirty or stained.  1.

Discovered Divine Comfort-Giver, met in love and comfort,
Remains within naturally and cannot be abandoned.  1. Reflect.

Old age and death afflict not; the pain does not reoccur.
Satiated drinking Immortal-Nectar, Guru bestows Immortality.   2.

One who has tasted the invaluable All-Pervasive Nam¹ knows,
price cannot be stated; what saying can the mouth voice?  3.

O’ Transcendent! Your vision is fruitful; Your Teachings are treasure-virtues.Nanak adores Your votaries and asks for their dust. 4.
