
Roopinder Singh is an accomplished journalist and author with a long-standing engagement with Sikh history, religion, and cultural heritage. A graduate of St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, he spent more than three decades at The Tribune, retiring as Senior Associate Editor in 2020. During his tenure, he served on the editorial board, launched the newspaper’s Internet Edition, and edited several key supplements, including the Sunday magazine and book reviews.
A prolific writer and columnist, Roopinder Singh continues to contribute to leading publications such as The Tribune and The Indian Express, bringing depth, clarity, and insight to public discourse.
Jasmine Anand is an Assistant Professor of English at MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh. She is a translator and scholar whose work spans literary studies, research pedagogy, and academic publishing.
Dr. Anand is researching the contemporary relevance of Bhai Vir Singh as an associate researcher at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla. She has published widely in leading journals, newspapers, and academic presses and is also a member of the Board of Studies and the Academic Council at Panjab University, Chandigarh. She also hosts the podcast Literary Shorts, supporting early-stage researchers, and serves on academic bodies at Panjab University.

Through contemporary translation and commentary, the book draws on the voices of the Guru’s court poets—Bhai Nand Lal Goya and Chandra Sain Sainapati—offering rare glimpses into the Guru’s divine presence and sovereign leadership.
