This webinar has been generously sponsored by a SikhRI supporter.

Join us as T. Sher Singh explores the life of Maharaja Duleep Singh by juxtaposing the narrative the British propaganda machine had created around him, against the facts which have largely been either hidden or downplayed by historians to date. As a result, Duleep Singh's place in Sikhdom today is an ambivalent one and needs to be corrected, says T. Sher Singh, if we are to fully understand our past and chart our future."

T. Sher Singh has had multiple careers: author, lecturer, litigation lawyer, police commissioner, editor, publisher, and journalist, including stints as a national current-affairs columnist, travel writer, television host and radio commentator. He is also the founder of the online magazine sikhchic.com, The Spinning Wheel Film Festival, the annual Guelph Lecture On Being Canadian, and Toronto’s annual Vaisakhi Gala.

His recently published book of essays, 'The Lion & The Princess" (Macauliffe Books Canada, 2018) is soon to be followed by his next one titled "Turn Left At Greenland: How I Found America."

He now resides in Mount Forest, a village in rural Ontario, Canada.
