May your 2019 be filled with Light & Love! – SikhRI - 4th January 2019

January 4, 2019

Vahiguru ji ka Khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki Fatih! May your 2019 be filled with Light & Love!

Open your hearts.
Listen deeply.
And…
You will hear from those:
who have been graced,
who have been embraced,
with the nearness of the Beautiful.

Experiences can never be put in words.
They are to be felt.
So…
Walk the path of awakening,
with patience and courage.
Embrace the struggles,
as a gift of Grace.
Drink the Nectar,
experience deep, ecstatic surrender.
Enabling…
Love to transform you,
to experience,
life as a beautiful Song,
vibrating in sacredness.

2019 at SikhRI is dedicated to the celebration of #Nanakshahi550. We truly hope that you will enjoy the numerous offerings we will be unveiling throughout the year. Taking the liberty to share a few of our upcoming programs: Thursday Thoughts will feature the writings from Bhai Vir Singh’s book Guru Nanak Chamatkar; children’s audio series  will feature sakhis of Guru Nanak Sahib in English and Panjabi; Sabad of the Month will feature Sabads of Guru Nanak Sahib and our online courses will be focusing on the bani of Guru Nanak Sahib.

Our State of the Panth series will continue and I am delighted to share that these reports have sparked discussions among academics and community. The fourth report Akal Takht Sahib: Timeless Sovereign Throne will become available shortly.

SikhRI is growing and our commitment to the community stays strong and focused as ever. At the end of July 2019, we will be hosting our annual Sidak leadership program, which over the years has transformed the lives of hundreds of people. We will continue to create opportunities that allow you to experience the power of community.

Our efforts are mostly supported by all of you — our community. And the extent to which we are able to do our work depends on your involvement. In this new year, please consider getting involved with the community, just one step at a time, whether it’s donating your time by volunteering or teaching, organizing an event, or directing your dasvandh to further our cause. Your involvement is crucial and so needed.

Please don’t hesitate to send any feedback or suggestions you have for me directly at inni.kaur@sikhri.org. I am deeply grateful for your support.

With love,

Inni Kaur
