Sikh Research Institute is pleased to announce Jaswinder Singh Chadha as its new Board Chair effective immediately.
Jaswinder’s pioneering experience in building innovative technological solutions for over 100 global companies would ensure SikhRI provides the best possible education. In his acceptance speech, Jaswinder said:
“There are many opportunities for awakened Sikhs to make an impact on the world both within the Sikh community and in the context of the broader world. The inspiration, learning, and connection with Sabad that SikhRI enables is unique, powerful, and sorely needed. What SikhRI does is vital, and to be a part of it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
As a successful entrepreneur and an angel investor, Jaswinder won the 2004 E&Y “Entrepreneur of the Year” award and was recognized as the “Top Forty under Forty” by NJBiz Magazine in 2003. He followed with his motivation for joining the board:
“From a personal perspective, the 1-day thematic Saneha sessions have made a huge impact on my life. My mind was opened to Sikhi I didn't even know I was missing. That program was my biggest growth opportunity as a Sikh and as human being.”
SikhRI is immensely grateful, humbled and excited to work, grow and improve under Jaswinder’s direction. There are other changes to the board in addition to the new chairman. SikhRI is pleased to announce Jujhaar Singh as the new board member, whereas Jaspreet Kaur Bal, Jasjit Singh Hundal, Charanbir Kaur, Manpreet Singh and Dr. Rajdeep Singh will be joining its Advisory Council. Kulvir Singh is assuming the position as the new Canada Chair.
Lastly, we are indebted to our outgoing chair Inderpreet Singh. Serving as the Chair of the Board twice, he proved to be the stabilizing force holding SikhRI steadily on its course throughout his terms. Under Inderpreet’s wise guidance and direction, the organization experienced an unprecedented period of growth and revitalization. Thank you, Inderpreet.
