Baljinder Kaur Narang holds a Masters Degree in Health Education from Dalhousie University, Halifax NS.
She has worked in her professional career as an Occupational Therapist specializing in Community Rehabilitation and Drug & Alcohol Counselling. Currently she serves on the New Vista Society Trustee Board; and as vice chair, Task Force on Sexually Exploited and At-Risk Youth. She was elected as School Trustee in 2008 and serves as Chair of the Burnaby Board of Education. She serves on all committees of the Board including Policy, Management and Finance committees. She is also a member of the ELL Consortium of the Lower Mainland School Boards. She advocates tirelessly for a fully funded public education system and the important role education plays in making healthy and vibrant communities. She serves as President for Panjab Digital Library Canada.
