In the Guru Granth Sahib, five Sabads are recorded under the title ‘Sohila’ from pages 12 to 13. A note ‘sohila panc sabad’ (Sohila comprising five Sabads) or ‘sohila arti panc sabad’ (Sohila Arti comprising five Sabads) is found to be written under the ‘index of rags’ (musical modes) of the manuscripts of the Guru Granth Sahib.
