Sikh Research Institute (SikhRI) wishes you a blissful and reflective Vaisakhi!

Vaisakhi of 2020 is bound to be etched in our collective memory. Never in our lifetimes have we faced an event that has affected the global community in such magnitude. It has brought communities and nations to a complete halt. It has created immense panic, and brought unimaginable human misery, especially to the most vulnerable: the homeless; the jobless; the daily wagers, and the underprivileged. It is also a sobering reminder of our limits and inadequacies in front of Nature as well as a humbling experience.

the only place to find comfort is Guru

For many, the lack of social interaction may result in loneliness and a heightened sense of anxiety. During turmoil and confusion, the only place to find comfort is Guru. With love and humility, we share these Sabad reflections. May the wisdom of Sabad strengthen our minds and hearts and provide the solace that is needed during these times.

Sabad Reflections

Our newly launched Guru Granth Sahib Project aims to make the wisdom of the Guru Granth Sahib easily accessible to the global community enabling us to build a deeper connection with Sabad. The beauty of this project is that it can act as a bridge for experts to transcreate the Guru Granth Sahib to other languages through English.

Guru Granth Sahib Project

For the next two months, SikhRI will be hosting live online programs. We invite you to take advantage of this offering to enrich yourself and connect with the global sangat.

In love and remembrance of the Beloved, may any newfound solitude be nurturing.

Guru enlightens:

How can the one separated from the Beloved be patient in Vaisakh?... Vaisakh seems pleasing if one meets the All-Pervading through the Guru. - Guru Granth Sahib 133
