The presentation examines the life and work of Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra who was abducted and murdered by the police. His work will be used to understand the efforts to end impunity and achieve justice for mass state crimes in Panjab. Violent deaths and mass disappearances in Panjab will be discussed with a focus on current legal and advocacy efforts to get justice for the aggrieved families.
