A Gurduara is a Sikh place of both worship and learning, originally called Dharamsal, serving as a sanctuary rooted in principles of equality and care. Historically, it provided education, rest, medicine, food, and protection for the vulnerable, regardless of background. Today, Gurduaras need to refocus on offering not just physical nourishment but also spiritual guidance and political activism for the welfare of all.
