Liv webinar presented on 23 March by Sabrina Atwal, a project director at the Indo Canadian Women's Center. In this webinar, Atwal explores harmful cultural practices, many of which have been exported in to the diasporic Sikh communities, that lead to gendered violence. She also discusses tactics which have led to successful reduction or elimination of these practices and how to implement them. Sidak is a distinctive 2-week leadership development experience offered by the Sikh Research Institute. This year marks the 11th Sidak, to be held in San Antonio, Texas, from 28 July-10 August. Participants come from all over the world, and we hear year after year that lessons learned and the friendships forged during Sidak continue to serve attendees long after they go home.
