The weekend of 4-5 August, 25 young adults hailing from the US, Canada, England and Scotland flew in to San Antonio, Texas, for the tenth year of Sikh Research Institute’s annual leadership development retreat: Sidak – Faith. Courage. Discipline.

San Antonio, TX—The 2012 Infinite Wisdom Day, an annual gathering of the interfaith community in San Antonio and conducted during Sikh Research Institute’s annual Sidak leadership program, opened with a sabad honoring the victims of the attack on the Gurduara in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

The "WeAreSikhs Street Team," comprised of attendees at Sikh Research Institute’s (SikhRI) annual Sidak leadership retreat, took downtown San Antonio by storm, engaging more than 100 locals with their vibrant personalities and exciting energy.

The local Sikh community gathered in a Jewish sanctuary for a memorial service Wednesday night to mourn their six peers killed in the Wisconsin temple shooting Sunday and to find comfort in the hundreds of civic and religious leaders who turned out to express solidarity.

Gurduārā - A Sikh Place of Learning. Gurduārā (popularly spelled Gurdwara) is the name given to the Sikh place of learning and not only worship, a place where Sikhs have historically assembled to facilitate their spiritual and political growth.

The Sikh Research Institute is pleased to announce the details of the third annual Infinite Wisdom Day, which will be held August 15, 2012, from 6-9pm at the Concept Therapy Institute in San Antonio.
