Sabad is Infinite; we are finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad.

Sabad is Infinite; we are finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad.

1 Reality realized by Eternal Perfection’s Grace!

Burning and burning, writhing in pain, I wring my hands. Have gone insane, seeking my Husband-Divine.

O! Husband-Divine are You angry with me? The fault is mine not Yours.  || 1 ||

I did not know Your excellence and worth.

Having wasted my youth, I now regret and repent.  || 1 ||  Reflect ||

O! black bird (koel),what qualities have made you black? “I have been burnt being separated from my Beloved.”

Without Husband-Divine, how can the lover-bride ever find peace? When the Divine becomes compassionate, then Union takes place.  || 2 ||

The lonely lover-bride suffers in the pit of the world. Has no companions nor friends.

In Divine compassion, unite me with sadh sangat. Whenever I look, I find Allah is present.  || 3 ||

The path upon which I must walk is very depressing. It is sharper than a two-edged sword, and very narrow.

That is where my path lies. O! Shaykh Farid, think of that path early on.  || 4 || 1 ||

Reflections:

Words fail me as I listen to today’s Hukam.

Eyes mist.

Heartaches.

Breath tightens.

My Sufi leaning reveals their colors.

I surrender.

Ceaselessly burning and inflaming,

I wring my hands.

Seeking you,

I have gone crazy.

I grieve in the agony of separation.
Away from you my heart burns.

You left without saying why
left me alone high and dry.

My heart cannot bear this separation
my mind yearns reconciliation.

Inflamed, I burn.

Insane, yells the world.

Bestow compassion

Essence of Essence.

Intoxication of Love.
I stand in agony.
Waiting for you.

Love cannot be denied.

Love will find a way.

Even as I gray…

The love-path is treacherous.

Finer than a hair,sharper then a double-edge sword.

Yet…

Lovers walk this path.
