Vahiguru ji ka Khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki Fatih!
In the sacred tapestry of remembrance, we bow our heads in honor of the martyrdom of the revered Mata Gujri ji and the valiant Sahibzade - Baba Fateh Singh (6), Baba Zoravar Singh (9), Baba Jujhar Singh (14), Baba Ajit Singh (18), and the countless Sikhs whose spirits were immortalized in the sands of Chamkaur in 1705.
Against the looming backdrop of the Mughal Empire's formidable might, these young beings demonstrated a rare courage beyond ordinary deeds. They weren't mythical beings plucked from the pages of comics or the screens of movies. Rather, they were real individuals, flesh and blood, whose characters were adorned with the brilliance of unwavering determination.
The question naturally arises: How does one muster such superhuman strength?
The wellspring of their strength lay in a life centered around Nam - Identification with IkOankar, the 1Force, and Sabad, the Infinite Wisdom. This strength wasn't a happenstance; it was nurtured through consistent training and education from their earliest years. These young ones were not adrift; they deeply understood their heritage, knowing who they were, the ideals they held, and the principles they stood for.
The radiance of this indomitable spirit echoes through the pages of history, especially during tumultuous times when Sikh heritage, land, and people faced the onslaught of rulers.
Their legacy isn't confined to dusty annals; it pulsates through time, a beacon that continues to inspire generations. Their sacrifice is a timeless testament, urging us to reflect on our own lives, values, and the principles we choose to uphold. In the shadows of Chamkaur, the flame of their legacy burns brightly, lighting the path for those who seek courage, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to truth.
May we remember.
May the Wisdom-Guru be with us!

In the third podcast, we discuss: What is giving-philanthropy? What is true giving? Does dan play a role in one’s journey towards becoming a Gurmukh, Guru-oriented?
Recently, my six year old son was given an assignment to write about a holiday his family celebrates in December. Much to my surprise he chose the Shahadat (martyrdom) of Sahibzade (4 sons of Guru Gobind Singh in 1704). As a parent I was so pleased and yet curious at the same time. Here is how our conversation went:
