Amanender Singh is a two-time Sidak alumnus, originally from Sri Gangangar, Rajasthan.
He moved to Canada in 2019 and recently joined the Nova Scotia government as Deputy Sheriff.
He has a deep admiration for Sikhi and is passionate about writing, particularly poetry. He also enjoys reading. He aspires to become a writer in the future to make a meaningful impact both professionally and creatively.
At the 2024 Sidak program, marking 40 years since the 1984 Ghallughara, participants reflected on the lingering impacts of unaddressed wounds and the Sikh diaspora's connection to Panjab.
