As a child Navi Singh learnt to express herself through paint at the prestigious S.G. Thakur Singh School of Fine Arts in Amritsar, India. After three decades of motherhood and a career, the brushes beckoned again. For the last 15 years she has honed her artistic skills at The Woodmere, Cheltenham, and Abington Art Centers in Pennsylvania. Her first exhibit in 2006 titled "My Sikh Heritage" was based on the parables of the Sikh Gurus. Her present collection “The Raagas and I” is an eight-year journey inspired by the Raagas of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. She has donated her art to: The Epilepsy Foundation, Red Cross, Philadelphia Children’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity. Her paintings have been selected twice as the annual holiday cards for The Committee to end homelessness in Philadelphia. Navi Singh received her medical degree from the Medical College, Amritsar and migrated to the USA four decades ago. She has retired from clinical practice of Neurology and currently is a consultant to the Federal Government. Her aspiration is to continue her soulful journey and express through the medium of art...As willed by The Divine.
