Through this series, we hope you had the opportunity to learn more about Guru Teghbahadar Sahib—from the Guru’s early years as Tyag Mal, to the wisdom the Guru shared through the Guru’s banis, to the ultimate sacrifice the Guru made for justice. Guru Teghbahadar Sahib is remembered as Shristi ki Chadar, the protector of all humanity.

The Guru didn’t stand up only for one group or only for one faith; the Guru stood for humanity itself. No matter who needed the Guru, the Guru would have protected them. That is why the Guru is known as the protector of humanity.

So when you think about Guru Teghbahadar Sahib Ji, our Ninth Guru, you can ask yourself: What would the Guru do in this life? What is my purpose when I think about taking on the qualities of Vahiguru?
