The theme of the Chaubole composition by Guru Arjan Sahib is love. It conveys that being perpetually absorbed in the Beloved, IkOankar (the Divine) is true love. A lover immersed in love is ready to sacrifice everything for their Beloved. They consciously connect with and become worthy of IkOankar’s love. Their mind remains immersed in the Nam (Divine-Identification) of IkOankar in every moment. They remain in a constant state of joy and do not seek bliss elsewhere. But, a being entangled in attachment to the material world and relationships remains miserable despite attaining worldly comforts.
