Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad.

Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad. In this trans-creation, we have chosen to keep the repeating words in the Sabad same. We aspire to learn and retain the Divine attribute as used in the original Sabad and avoid terms like God or Lord.

1 Reality realized by Eternal Perfection's Grace

Burning and burning, writhing in pain, I wring my hands.
I have gone insane, seeking my Divine-Spouse.
O' My Divine-Spouse are You angry with me?
The fault is with me, and not with You.  || 1 ||
I do not know Your excellence and worth.
Having wasted my youth, now I have come to regret and repent.  || 1 ||  Pause  ||
O black bird, what qualities have made you black?
"I have been burnt by separation from my Beloved.”
Without Divine-Spouse, how can I ever find peace?
When the Owner becomes compassionate, then Union takes place.  || 2 ||
The lonely bride suffers in the pit of the world.
She has no companions, and no friends.
When the Owner was compassionate, I was united with the company of realized beings.
Then wherever I look, I find the Owner as my Helper.  || 3 ||
The path upon which I must walk is very depressing.
It is sharper than a two-edged sword, and very narrow.
That is where my path lies.
O Shaykh Fareed, think of that path early on.  || 4 || 1 ||

Words fail me as I listen to today’s Hukam.
Eyes mist.
Heart aches.
Breath tightens.

My Sufi leanings show their colors.
I surrender.

I grieve in the agony of separation.
Away from you my heart burns.

You left without saying why?
Left me alone high and dry.

My heart cannot bear this separation.
My mind yearns reconciliation.

Inflamed, I burn.
Insane, yells the world.
Bestow compassion.

Essence of Essence.
Intoxication of Love.
I stand in agony.
Waiting for you.
