The Nectar Within

Bhagat Kabir ji urges us to look within, not argue. True peace comes from self-reflection, Divine connection, and compassion, not empty debates or rituals.

Bhagat Kabir ji reminds us that arguing over scriptures is meaningless without personal experience of the Divine. True wisdom lies not in debate but in inner contemplation. The world is a fleeting illusion and the Divine dwells within each of us. Through daily self-reflection, service, and grace, we can access the river of Nectar flowing inside and free ourselves from anxiety. This reflection invites us to move beyond external rituals and judgments to experience Unity, live in awareness, and embody compassion.

1 Reality realized by Eternal Perfection’s Grace!

The Vedas and the Scriptures are only make-believe;
O my brothers, they do not relieve the anxiety of the heart.
If you will center yourself on the Divine, even for just a breath,
then you shall see the Divine before you. ||1||

O human being, search your own heart every day;
do not wander around in confusion.
This world is just a magic-show;
no one will be holding your hand. ||1|| Reflect ||

Reading and studying falsehood, people are happy;
in their ignorance, they speak nonsense.
The True Creator is within the creation;
it is not just the dark-skinned Krishna of legends. ||2||

Through the Tenth Gate flows the stream of nectar;
bathe within.
Serve the Divine forever; use your eyes;
see the Divine everywhere. ||3||

The Divine is the purest of the pure;only through doubt could there be another.O Kabir, compassion flows from the Compassionate One;the One who knows all. ||4||1||

Reflection

As I listen to the Hukam, my mind drifts to 15th-century Hindustan…

Bhagat Kabir ji says: O brothers of mine, argue not which scripture is better. Reading scriptures just to prove a point is not true reading—it’s noise. It doesn’t soothe your heart. It doesn’t connect you to the Divine. If you haven’t experienced Unity, what are you really arguing for?

Let go of the need to debate. Center yourself. Even a moment of genuine contemplation can open the door to spiritual wisdom.

Search within—daily. Evaluate your thoughts and your actions. The Divine abides within you. The river of Nectar flows within—immerse yourself in it. When you experience that Light, your anxieties begin to dissolve.

This world? It’s a dazzling magic show. Beautiful, but fleeting. So why attach yourself to illusions? Why get lost in what doesn’t last?

Serve creation selflessly. See the One in all. The Divine is Formless—pervading through all beings, all places, all things. This realization? It comes only through Grace.

My learning: Do not get entangled in arguments that aim to find fault in other faiths. Don’t gloat about being "right." The One is the same in all. Instead, focus on cleansing your mind—again and again. Search for the Nectar within. Live that Truth—Radiate that Compassion.

About the Series

Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad. In this trans-creation, we have chosen to keep the repeating words in the Sabad same. We aspire to learn and retain the Divine attribute as used in the original Sabad and avoid terms like God or Lord.
