This LIV Webinar will aim to address the question: How do we apply Guru Nanak’s message globally?The webinar will do so by first engaging the Sangat in an honest and collective introspection on the state of the panth with a view to understand what barriers - political, social and individual - stand in the way and prevent us from becoming foot soldiers in the army of Nanak.The second part of the Webinar will share the outline of a project conceived by a group of Sikhs who believe that the best way spread the message of Guru Nanak is to become personifications of the Sikhi.

Join us as Amardeep Singh shares his journies and experiences on Exploring the Sikh Legacy in Pakistan & the Social-Cultural Impact of the Partition. During a personal visit to Pakistan in 2014, a journey that took him across 36 cities and villages, Amardeep felt it was important for posterity to document his explorations. In Jan 2017, he undertook another journey, traveling extensively to 90 cities and villages across Sindh, Balochistan, Pakistan Administered Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Panjab.

What is the language of violence? How do we find language for translating the unspeakable? Who speaks for those who suffer violence?

The Sikh world refers to ten founder personalities as well as the Guru Granth and the Khalsa Panth as the Guru. Guru Nanak Sahib considered “Sabad” to be the Guru. This conversation will dive deep into the Sikh context of what Guru is, “Gurgaddi” as the enthronement to the status of the Guru in Sikh tradition, and how the eternal co-Guruship came about by the Command of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib to Granth-Panth. Within a month of this conversation are the first Prakash of Guru Granth Sahib and its Gurgaddi, Gurgaddi Purabs of Guru Nanaks II, IV, V & VIII.
