Bilaval evokes a sense of happiness, accomplishment, and the resolve to continue walking the spiritual path. In this Sabad, the overwhelming theme is the unshakable connection with the Divine, a bond so tightly secured by the "Master-Illusionist" that...

Love with my Beloved developed.  Reflect.

Master-Illusionist tightly secured it such:
Breaking it, cannot be broken,
Releasing it, cannot be released.  1.

Day and night,
You abide within mind,
O! Divine, bestow Your Grace.  2.

I surrender and surrender
To the Dark-complexed Beautiful
Whose story I heard is an indescribable narrative.  3.

Says servant Nanak,
Votary of Your votaries,
O! Ruler, bestow Your Grace. 4.

About Sabad of the Week

We are finite; our understanding is finite. Our understanding was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad. In this trans-creation, we have chosen to keep the repeating words in the Sabad same. We aspire to learn and retain the Divine attribute used in the original Sabad and avoid terms like God or Lord.

What role does free will play in Sikhi?

In Sikhi, free will exists within a larger Divine framework. Imagine a picture frame: you choose what to place inside but cannot change the frame itself. You don’t get to change cosmic laws or physical laws.
